Life is an award-winning Science Centre in the heart of Newcastle where one ticket gets you everything. Hosting a wide portfolio of attractions, visitors are bound to find something of interest to them. Headlining events include the likes of the Science Theatre, a 4D Motion Ride, the North’s biggest planetarium and the Curiosity Zone, which is as scintillating as it sounds. The Life Science Centre offers a combination of hands-on and display exhibits which have been designed to bring out your inner scientist whilst having some fun in the process. There are also several opportunities to speak with industry experts, from game designers to real life scientists, allowing visitors to get a better understanding of the exhibition. Life also has a special area for under-sevens and a changing programme of exhibitions and events. From November to February, Life hosts an outdoor ice rink in Times Square, just outside the Science Centre. Hands-on workshops offered by the Life Science Centre allow groups of school children to get real life experience of skills such as game coding and astronaut training.

Packed full of interesting things to see, do and learn for kids aged 6-16. Not much for very little kids but great for adults too! Plenty of shows and talks in the planetarium and lots of hands on tasks for kids. Highly recommended as an educational visit.

This place is amazing for kids and adults. Do not be put off by the entry fee and you will see several unique areas which you would pay alot more for. It will fill a good 4 - 6 hrs.
